Hello! This is a quick look into my trip to Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook.
I went on October 24th 2020 at 3:30 PM witch was a Saturday! Other bloggers seem to not share the date and time to their little trips which I think is kinda lame. Knowing the date and time of a location can help people decide what time is best for them to visit.
There wasn’t much to this hike. It’s a steep bath up some stairs to a very nice view of the city. But if you don’t have the leg strength I don’t recommend doing this. Or if you do, go slowly for sure. I haven’t been outside much since the start of the year so I have no leg muscles lol. So this path definitely ruined me. Oh, also went on an empty stomach… rough day for me.
Anyway, there are a few resting spots going up the hill where people can move aside and rest while the overachievers power through the stairs all in one go. I applaud them for their strong calves and leg muscles.
The view at the top is a nice one for sure. But if you’re practically dead like I was… you can’t really enjoy it. Bring water and stay at the top as long as you need to!
There is a path that kind of zig zags across the stairs for a much slower way up the hill if you’re willing to do that.
The way up and down the stairs only took about an hour for me. Even though I stopped and rested a bit more than others normally would I think.
There are vendors at the bottom of the hill for that after hike snack. I’m sure they get a lot of business. Specially the fruit lady!
Please enjoy the other photos of this little trip at the bottom!
